Lyrics

A cold autumn breeze
Through the desolate town doth sweeps
The moon is full, it’s past nightfall
Deserted seems the streets

But things aren’t what they seem
The shadows in the alleys come alive
As most mortals lie and dream

Howlings pierce the air
A signal to man to flee in despair
Doors and windows are locked and barred
Fear reigns this werewolf lair

So hide beneath your beds
To venture out when twilight falls
Will deprive you of your heads

The light of day is long past gone
It went away with the setting sun
Now mortal man flee the night with fear
Knowing that dusk makes the beasts appear
The streets of Greifswald has been seized
By the city’s lycanthropic population unleashed
Clotted blood taints the gutters red
Reminding all humans that they’re next to be dead

Caught amongst his flight
One man’s still out even though it’s night
Escaping the beasts seems a futile act
As he falls to their delight

Now helpless on the ground
With one final scream he’s torn apart
As the werewolves flocks around

Upon his flesh they feed
Devouring all with insatiable greed
Relentlessly they deal out death
With inhuman speed

When dawn announce the day
The city’s streets are found adorned
With a grisly disarray

Daylight ends as night descends to cloak the streets in black
A nocturnal veil where beasts assail all those who sense doth lack[1]
