Lyrics

The full moon rises with its eerie light
A sulfurous orb in the velvet night
A distant howl through the ether fly
Thus begins the wolfman's lullaby

So quiet the night doth seems
For most creatures lies profound in dreams
All so vulnerable in their homes they lay
So assured they will see the coming day
But in the shadows cast by towering trees
The incarnation of a mental disease
By day human, now in lupine guise
For the beast appears when the moon doth rise

And now the daylight ends
So let the hunting commence

On a narrow trail a lone man walks pale
Strange noises makes his heartbeats almost fail
For in the chilling dark is heard a growling bark
As feral eyes detects their numb-struck mark
Stepping into sight beneath the lunar light
The very essence of nocturnal fright
By fear frozen still deprived of mind and will
The human prey receives the coming kill

Silence returns to the forest trail
As the ravage corpse is of no avail
The biped wolf left in a haste
For tonight there is more blood to taste

A grotesque silhouette the moon displays
A muzzle sculpted upon a human face
Canine teeth like knives smeared with red
Adorns the jaws of the wolf-like head
A lonely cottage standing in a glade
The perfect target for this nocturnal raid
Housing mortals fallen in deep sleep
The ideal victims for a werewolf to reap

And now their lives ends
So let the bloodshed commence

In a bed there lies a woman with closed eyes
Unaware that she will meet with her demise
With the windpipe torn her last breath sounds forlorn
While yellow eyes surveys their work with scorn
Sleeping aside his wife the husband ends his life
Slain by teeth as sharp as the keenest knife
Now come the final hour for the child which cower
A dainty morsel for a hungry wolf to devour

On a narrow trail a lone man walks pale
Strange noises makes his heartbeats almost fail
For in the chilling dark is heard a growling bark
As feral eyes detects their numb-struck mark
Stepping into sight beneath the lunar light
The very essence of nocturnal fright
By fear frozen still deprived of mind and will
The human prey receives the coming kill[1]
